Naturalistic collecting in Florence
from the Medicis to the Museum of Natural History

Natura Collecta, Natura Exhibita was a temporary exhibition at the Salone Donatello of the Basilica of San Lorenzo in Florence.
"La Specola" has brought here some of its masterpieces, including part of the world-famous anatomical waxes, zoological and mineralogical collections, while waiting to reopen to the public in its historic location behind the Boboli Gardens.
With Natura Collecta, Natura Exhibita the University Museum System presented an evocative exhibition of over 150 of the most significant pieces in its collections.
